Do You Know Your Child’s Personality Type?

Why It’s VERY Important.

Match their body and facial characteristics to the 7 Personality Types on the website. Once you do (remembering that most people are not a “perfect match” and can be a combination of a few types beyond their dominant type), you will be able to identify which of the 7 Personality Types they best fit. You can then guide them by encouraging your children to develop their best traits and skills, overcome their weaknesses and achieve a more harmonious relationship within the family. You will be enabled to lead them on the path to a successful life.  Their personality type is the foundation of their character, it is a blueprint of their individualism.

The tool will help you know how to stop the squabbling, teach them to be more tolerant of their differences and learn to communicate more effectively, overcome their lack of confidence in who they are and what they can accomplish, understand how to negotiate with them and inspire them.  Teach them to accept their differences and respect the differences of each other’s personality.  The benefit is less stress and uncertainty for you in resolving problems.

Parenting as we all know is a rewarding, frustrating, confusing and demanding role in life

That nothing adequately prepares us for.  Most of us wonder at the differences in our children’s behavior patterns and their individual character traits which vary dramatically.  Those differences result in inevitable ongoing conflict between siblings, arguing, bickering and taking sides.  Children are not naturally equipped with tolerance for the behavior patterns of their brothers and sisters or friends.  That is something they have to be taught.  It’s easier to resolve those issues between them once we truly understand the nature of each child and how we should react to them.

You no doubt observed that each child is endowed with a personality at birth (it’s in the DNA) that is unique to their personality type.  Their basic personality type does not change throughout their life.  As they mature, their personality remains intact, and they establish a pattern of behavior which is natural to them. Knowing which of the 7 personality types they are is of great value and relevant to assist them in their life path.  You will view them in a different light and understand “why” they act the way they do at home, in school and in their relationships with siblings and friends and be more confident in helping them overcome issues that overwhelm them.

There are no “good or bad” personality types.  There are variations and extremes within each type dependent on each child’s common sense, pattern of experiences, family values which skew the scale of how their specific characteristics will evolve and which will dominate. A personality type is a composite of many of the character traits described, but not all are weighted the same.  Understanding your children’s personalities allows you to develop more patience and tolerance toward their behavior and enlightens you as to how we can promote productive and positive relationships with their brothers and sisters and friends.  Some children in the same family simply have more compatible character traits than others so they get along better, others have opposing personalities and it is like fire and water.  The trick is working around their strengths and weaknesses

FOR INSTANCE:

Jupiterian children will always want to “set the rules” and “be in charge.”  They thrive on “winning” and have a great sense of pride in achievement and are natural leaders.  They of course can overpower the quieter siblings and sometimes be considered “bossy”.  Jupiterian children seek and are surrounded by many friends but usually are the leaders in any group.  They are materialistic and want the “best” toys and “designer” clothes.  They are often class presidents. However they possess great humanity and are kind, considerate and well mannered to others and usually “play fair”.  Jupiterians will grow to be Corporate Executives and leaders in politics and other public professions.  These children participate in all sports where they can excel:  tennis, sailing, swimming, soccer (but football would be unlikely).

A Saturnian child will be quieter, prefer alone time, enjoy puzzles and science, tend to be pessimistic, investigative, and are stubborn in their opinions.  They are the deep thinkers, do not have a lot of friends as they select them carefully.  These children are not particularly social and will tend to hold grudges and not be contradicted.  Saturnians enjoy being problem solvers and often choose a career in science or as mystery writers, architecture or programmers.  They cannot tolerate the more boisterous child infringing on their private space.

The Lunarian child lives in a world of imagination and creativity.  They often have “invisible friends” who share their world of imagination and fantasy. Lunarians enjoy having stories read to them and books are their friends.  They are very sensitive and not joiners, not physically energetic, and would not like the competition and roughness of  many sports.  These children are very smart but they live in the mental, not physical world and are somewhat unconventional in their views.  They will withdraw if overwhelmed by their brothers and sisters chiding them to join in to sports they have no interest in.  Likely they will grow up to be actors, writers and travel as they have a restless nature and are curious about other cultures.

The Martian child is totally opposite from the Lunarian child.  They are all about physical sports.  Highly energetic, forceful, strong, like contact sports, are fearless in games and likely to exhibit their temper which is close to the surface.  They are loyal to their friends and very focused on their pursuits.  It is not easy for them to sit still in school as they enjoy constant activity. These children think in black and white with no shades of gray in between. Martian children are not the most diplomatic of the group and they say what they think without meaning to hurt others since they do not censor their thoughts. However they do not mean to be abrasive.  Football and boxing, Martial Arts are sports of interest to them.  Their nature commands that they lead by demand and many grow up to pursue careers as CEO’s and in the Military.  Some of the greatest Generals were Martian personalities.

The Apollo child has the sunniest disposition.  They are very easy going, blend with all the personality types and are adaptable.  Because they are naturally good looking, charming and are gifted with charisma, everyone is attracted to them.  They are the center of attention and luck comes their way without them trying.  This might make their siblings who struggle socially to secretly harbor resentment that friends come so easily to the Apollo child when they feel awkward in making friends.  However,Apollo children learn to get by on their charm and looks and are not necessarily good students.  They dislike laborious tasks research and details and prefer to captivate their fellow students and audiences withy their ability to speak fluently so they do not feel they should try as hard in school and rely on their charm.  These are not deep thinkers, but they enjoy life to the fullest and luck falls their way.

The Mercurian child has a quicksilver mind.  They are clever, can think on their feet, are highly intuitive and very manipulative.  They do not have any hesitation to exaggerate or tell tall tales to protect their interest and get out of situations that would place them in a bad light.  They are born mathematicians and skilled at precision games like chess.  In sports they would prefer tennis, badminton, archery, to football.  However they are excellent soccer players as they have a high energy level and are naturally graceful and quick.  Their ability to mimic and act serves them well. The range of careers they choose would be in finance, accounting, computers, banking, but also acting and entertainment is natural to them.  Mercurian children can suffer from anxiety more frequently than other children if they feel they cannot keep up to the high standards they set for themselves because their brain is always on overdrive.  You can deduct that the Mercurian child capable of behind the scenes manipulation would drive a Martian “in your face” child to the brink.  Martian children do not have the capacity to manipulate and are caught off guard in those situations.

The Venusian child is well balanced.  They are gifted with joy, happiness, a pleasant personality and enjoyment for all that life has to offer.  They are physically attractive, loved by all and generally at peace with the family.  Venusian children go out of their way to please and not create any uncomfortable situation that would upset their siblings or parents.  They are generally honest and truthful and have a big heart.  Venusians do not have great ambition, are not profoundly studious but average by choice, however they are hard working and responsible and will follow through consistently on tasks, do not hold grudges. Venusian children enjoy sports but have no desire to stand out or be a hero on the team.  They like baseball, swimming, and group activities.  Most of all they are content to simply enjoy life.  Often they are musically gifted.
